This blog was created in my free time as I took on various tech projects, most of them revolving around computer hardware and software. I am not a professional and I do not purport to be. When I started learning programming, I began experimenting with various Linux distributions – intrigued that an operating system was developed and provided for free. Soon I was following projects on Github and compiling programs from source, which led to many late nights and early mornings since I was still extremely green behind the ears. The idea that I could mull through the code word by word until I’m convinced it is good, something I can learn from, trust. . . That is powerful, to know that what I’m installing on my computer is safe and not ridden with malware or spyware is priceless. That was the beginning of my affair with free and open source. And we all know the best things in life are free.
